Carmen herds sheep in the Tyrolean part of the Allgäu Alps on the Austrian/German border.

The alpine season lasts every year from early May to mid-September.
The sheep come from different parts of Tyrol, as herded alpine pastures are now very rare. But due to the increasing spread of the wolf, the demand is high.
